Hey!
I’m Nancy!
Some call me Nince, some call me Mama, some call me Nonnie, Nance the prance, or Fancy Nancy, some call me Mrs. Robillard, and some have called me Senora or Madam. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and traveler of the world! I have also grown up with a physical disability that affects both my arms and legs. I have felt darkness, defeat, and sometimes even hopelessness in my early years due to the cards dealt my way, but quickly banished those feelings, fortunately. Instead, I am here to tell you that what happened to us does not define us and it definitely does not steer the trajectory of our own adventurous journey. Stop giving your disability power, stop letting it hold you back, and stop making it your focus throughout your day. You make life what you want it to be! As a woman in her 50s, I have learned to wake up and acknowledge my disability as it is a piece of me and I have to be successful throughout my day. I have made my disability my friend by understanding what she needs and how to best support her. Educating yourself and making decisions based on what you can do and being aware of your surroundings will set you up for the greatest journey of your life, with or without a disability. My husband is the one who encouraged me to start my website and blogs which I hope inform others of how to travel and enjoy a vacation to its fullest! All aboard and au revoir, vamanos!
